Google is a tech giant that makes most of its money from advertising. It is behind the web browser Chrome (as well as its open-source base, Chromium), the Android operating system for mobile phones, as well as obviously its massive array of online services (Google Search, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Classroom, etc.). It once had a slogan “don’t be evil”, but dropped it, guess why, haha. It’s widely criticised for its privacy-violating practices which it engages in to try to prop up the value of its advertising business.
