Gizmo
Gizmo is a nine-year-old Maltese-Shih Tzu cross who is the “family dog” of my parents and sister (and also me, sort of, except I moved out of home so don’t live with him any more – just see him every week!). We adopted him from my partner Vivian’s brother and sister-in-law – their dogs had a litter of puppies, and Gizmo was the last one they needed to find a home. I’m not sure why Gizmo was last to be adopted, because he is incredibly sweet, and even obsessed with befriending cats (even though they mostly don’t want to be friends with him). One exception is my cat, Gidget, who’s known him since she was a tiny baby cat, and became his good friend.
