Link: “I would prefer not to”
Such a good article, with so much to relate to. It comments on things like teachers becoming increasingly surveilled, burdened with ever-increasing administrative work, and denied the autonomy to make their own professional decisions; our society shifting to be an “achievement society” where we discipline ourselves to do all the “right things”; and the increasing precarity of modern life meaning that we all just feel like we’re failing, constantly, at most things.
