I meant to share this horrifying article when it was first published four weeks ago, but I forgot 😅 At any rate, the UK government is considering a proposal whereby home-buyers could take out a mortgage with a 50-year term and force their children to inherit their debt, enabling them to take out larger mortgages than they’d be able to otherwise, and push up housing prices even more. Galaxy brain stuff
