It was heartening to catch up on social media this morning and see just how many Russians protested against their country’s invasion of Ukraine. I’ve read (external link) that 1,787 protesters were arrested across 58 cities – to me that indicates a huge antiwar movement brewing. It’s so important to reject the identification of ordinary people with the nation-states that rule over us, and instead stand in solidarity with those ordinary people just like us all over the world – I’m glad to see many Russians doing just that. Wishing strength to their movement ✊🏻
