Link: “These Parents Built a School App. Then the City Called the Cops”
Read this the other day, but I still think it’s a cracking story. Stockholm rolled out this app that was supposed to enable communication between schools and parents, but it was godawful, so a group of parents reverse-engineered the API and made their own open-source app that worked way better. But of course, they had committed the cardinal sin of embarrassing the government, so found themselves subject to a criminal investigation. At least the story has a happy ending 😛
