Viv and I watched the documentary that this article summarises last night. It’s truly flooring that not so long ago – 1970 is certainly within my parents’ memories – lesbians had to ensure such vitriol and even psychiatric abuse. Such brave women. And as much as things have changed, of course, we know there’s yet more work to do.
